Welcome to Fyre Fitness, my name is Jo, thanks for visiting. I’m a qualified personal trainer and fitness leader and would love to sit down with you to discuss what it is you want to achieve.
But first, why train with me? I’m not an influencer. I’m not a sports star, I’m not an elite athlete.
I’m me, an everyday Jo, authentic, real, no filters, with wobbly bits, the kind of girl who cares for her health and fitness and would like to help you on your journey.
I am passionate about providing individualised training programs tailored around your requirements and commitments. Delivered with efficiency, care, and attention. As your dedicated personal trainer I will guide and motivate you to achieve your health and fitness goals and aspirations.
Having always loved exercise, I’ve completed in too many triathlons to keep count, dozens of half marathons, completed a half ironman, rowed, water and snow ski, golf hacker and tramping. Love it all.
Before falling in love with weightlifting, not the heavy kind as in power lifting, weights to tone and shape. The body transformation kind. In 2019 I competed at the NABBA Body Sculpturing competition and won my age division and came 2nd overall. That was a crazy journey.
I want to share my knowledge and experiences with you, I really want to scream from the roof tops how important it is to move, slow, fast, uphill, across paddocks, down a slope, cleaning the car, over water, it’s all movement. Your body was born for it.
Now I’ve had my fair share of bumps along the way, at the age of 37 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I lost my left breast in the process, yes it was hard, it knocked my confidence, I didn’t know if I would feel whole again, let alone womanly or attractive. So instead of taking the victim route, I chose to fight for me, to regain who I was, I had so much I could live for, I chose not to let it define me.
The number one thing people say is, “Not I wish I hadn’t done that, but I wish I had done that”.
So, I encourage you to not leave anything undone. Take the risk, take the chance, because life is what you make it. Are you ready? Let’s go!
